Hope it turns out to be all worth it in the end! And remember how much tougher you get to feel than if you were doing this with American hospital quantities of painkillers...

Because American's give more painkillers? I'm on Ibuprofen and Paracetamol . But I am down to just 2x a day. It's actually not that painful anymore and you can do a lot of cooling and elevating. I know however my time to keep my feet up are dwindling. The kids were at my mom's until today at lunch and I spent much more time on my feet already.

You'd be on a month's supply of oxycodone in the US. (Or Percocet, which is oxycodone with acetaminophen mixed together.)

Wow! that's a bit overkill, non? It's amazing what you can do with some ice...

What do you think caused the US opioid abuse epidemic?

I had two operations in 2017 and received the months supply of oxy both times though I wasn’t in pain. Never used any and dropped them at the police station collection bin. Good luck.

Thanks Ernst!
The thing about oxy is disturbing. I don't know why we try to avoid pain at all costs... pain is a signal and we should respect it. Anyway, singing to the choir...
I'm down to 1x 600g IB per 24h in the morning when I wake up, 10 days post OP. Wanted to be able to go without totally, but I need to wait a few more days to stop all together.
