Wow!. Of course now days I'm out of it...was it 1500, 1600 or mile. I'm guessing 1500 which I think is about a 5:18 mile. Congrats.

Poor ole James just sits on the bench for Okie Christian...since his soph year of HS that has been the story...he's a great kid and has a great attitude and has shown a lot of talent for coaching basketball which is what he wants to do. At the college level.

Looking forward to hearing more about her season!

We have friends from church that moved to Denver area 5 years ago...their daughter is at Western Colo University and has run 4:47 for 1500 for PR. Her name is Hannah Mae Gigstad. It would be something if they have or do compete against each other. I just read in a running store email one of their female runners is a 4:28 miler. I had to look this up: Hannah Fields. 4:05 1500.

Oh boy it's something to look at what all these runners are doing and then go out and shoot for 10 to 12 minute miles. 10 minutes feels like 6:30 pace used to. I've said it several times, but I'm never one to avoid repeating myself as I blab on...anyway I will see someone shuffling along and they are going as fast or in most cases faster than I am...and I will be 'flying' along...haha...kinda used to it now.

One other observation...at least where they can be seen on Y and OC trails and on the sidewalks (why do we say on the streets when only races are actually on the streets unless its a rural area in most cases) 95% of the runners seem to be women. Of course that is inaccurate...but if you took 4 out of 7 days that would be true.

Holy moly...that is good...even 5:18 or whatever the conversion is from 1500 would be impressive. I googled her and our friends daughter and it was weird how easy it was...times have really changed...and yet if I could run like I did in the 70's and early 80's I could still kick butt around here...

Hope she can keep running a few more years and realize her potential...if she wants to.

Proud Papa Koski. How's Eli?

He's struggling. Nothing serious, yet, but he has no real direction. He's actually in LA right now with his gf doing modeling stuff for a week.
They want him, but not his gf, so he's disillusioned and wants to come home.
Not in school or anything... working pt at a burrito restaurant.

One of James ole teammates is in NYC doing modeling...at least some. Hope he pulls out of it...life is kinda strange...we complicate everything too much for one thing and I guess we think it/life should be like a Hallmark Movie or Avenger's movie where you get bitten by a bug and turn into a hero.

I would probably be Turdman or Vomit Man and not be able to get the girls even tho I saved the world. "Hey Turdman...you stink".

Anyway, good luck to you and the kids.
