Lets see is there any takers. Middle course (~4km?) for an unfit H50 runner/hiker who wants to try his new O glasses (+1.5), preferably by next weekend (January 24-26 2020).

Map: http://helsinginsuunnistajat.fi/assets/HS_ylasto_k...

Those are permanent controls 2019, you can partly use those if you like.

Natural preserve by the river is OOB. Start/finist at south (I'l hike or bike there from south). It can be night O course too.

Here can be found some gopro footage to get some impression how the terrain is like.

5km course

next time maybe send a more blank map and a jpeg / bitmap / oom file. Those are easier for me to set on then a pdf. (i had to convert it to a jpeg)

Also if you're in scandinavia I'd try finding a better map haha, that one is on par with our crappy North American city park maps. I get it if its close / on the way from work...

thanks! yeah, this is 2km from home, been Oing there only twice and both were night O. The whole idea was getting some use for this area by letting someone paln a course. See, if area isn't that interesting and you also know the course in advance there isn't much challenge left really.

Map file is as it is provided for public by local O club (I am not a member) and the city of Vantaa. I dont have access to otherkind of files.

No problem! You can also use this link for pre-processing to jpeg for free, if you only have pdf. Thats what I had to do.

Purple pen can handle PDFs just fine. And qualtit doens't get compromized like with lossy jpg.

I wasn't quite up to vegetation mapping. But I could see/read the map.

Yeah, in PP the circle sizes were too small even though I though I had the right scale. Glad to see you ran it! Sorry about all of the trail options. Was hard to keep you off them...
