I think the other team was who we refer to as "The Russians" or "The Sedges". a team of russian/swedish folks from the Indy area, captain is Mattias.

we saw you both on Loop 3 (you on the east, them on the west) and guessed that things would be pretty close!! 20 minutes, wow!

Thanks! If we had crossed back to HQ the way you did we may have had a chance! And we were pretty liberal with TAs and...and...and...lol. We talked a lot after what could have improved but we had fun.

Are you hiding your gps track on purpose? ;-)
If I know it’s going to be below freezing for long periods of time I end up using 32 oz Nalgene bottles with the large caps rather than bladders or regular water bottles. Not as easy to get to/store but much more user friendly when the contents start to freeze with the larger opening. Adding something to the water will also lower the freezing point a little. Gatorade, tea, vodka, salt, etc.

You can’t? Hmmm...and love the tips. Was thinking about using the $20 REI gift card I won to get a tube insulator or something.

I've learned in cold weather to store Nalgenes upside down - the water freezes from the top so that keeps the opening clear as long as possible. Also start with warm water if you can, and you can put the bottle in an old sock as an insulator.
