Hey Bill, Colm here. Think we might have spoken briefly a here and there at the last couple IOCs you were at.
I’m making my way down to NZ now, and will be around for a few weeks travelling, including running sprint the bay this weekend. I am hoping to do some nice mountains mostly, but I’m also keen to do some orienteering training where possible (sprint & nice forest), and was wondering if I’d be able to get some recommendations and borrow some old maps?
In particular anything on the north island I could return maps to you in wellington a couple of weeks after Sprint the Bay as I’ll be taking the ferry south.
Cheers for the help anyway, hopefully catch you at sprint the bay.

Hi Colm,
Welcome to NZ - great time of year to be over.
Unfortunately we won't be at Sprint the Bay - kids start school this week and they can't easily take Friday off.
I have plenty of maps of the areas up the coast from here which are your best bet in the Southern half of the North Island, but no easy way to get them to you immediately. Might be worth trying Lizzie or Laura - if they're not at home this week they probably have family who could bring some maps up. They're both on AP.

Woops, just seeing this now. Probably a bit late to get in contact. I’ll chat to people anyway and see what options are available.
Cheers for the help Bill. Unfortunate timing with the school return!

Looks like a good field at STB. Wish I was there!
Let me know if you're down this way at all.

It was a great quality competition & field!
I will be passing through Wellington this week, I have arranged to meet Ellie molloy + possibly some others for some sprint training on Wednesday evening I think, if you’re interested in joining.
Don’t know the exact details yet though.
