There might be a correlation between snow in Laramie and wins by the Cowboys. I think the last measurable win by the basketball team was back in December.

The two near misses would correspond to two near trace amounts of snow during the month.

I am much more confident of more snow coming than I am of a conference win this season. Though the Cowboys will have a chance to show me up tonight (Utah St). It would be a great, and measurable, win if they could pull it off.

Seems like it'll be a dry January.

Things went about as expected last night. However, today the snow gods have taken action, and some small amount of snow has been issued to Laramie and vicinity.

Nothing has stuck on hard surfaces, but there are minor accumulations on grass and fences and such, and surely there will be new snow on the trails higher up. So the January drought must be declared broken.

I have just about decided that SDSU and Wyoming are the barbell teams of the Mountain West this season. Strange to see how as the season goes on, offensive productivity is going down and down.

To be a truly dry January there would have to be no booze available for purchase in town. I'm guessing that's not the case.

There's dry, and then there's really, really dry.

I'm not sure how much having booze available for purchase affects SF's calculations.

You telling me he's interested in only 2 out of 3 on the Wine, Women, and Song scale?

He doubles up on the Song.

I refer anyone who might be interested to the B-52's and their "Dry County". It covers all the pertinent bases mentioned above.
