It will suck. You may want to look into Ulla, which is a non-fluorinated wax, but designed to be fast. Out in Silverstar it felt comparable to LF. But, you are supposed to apply it with the special rotofleece, and a couple other tools, so it's an investment.

I'm looking forward to what the wax companies will come up with. That feel of skis on pure fluoro is pretty magical.

There's nothing like the feel of "hot" skis on good snow!

Heard any feedback on this or other similar nanoparticle waxes?

Not sure how this is all going to play out but it seems like there might be a feeling of chaos for a few years while new offerings come from both the big established wax companies as well as lots of new players that just might have the next big idea. And, how are you going to know unless you buy some and try it? ;-)

On the NF front, I hate to disagree with Alex but telling you your skis will suck on Sunday isn't a positive message. ;-) If the temp is in the red range and you get a good layer of blue in there first I think you'll be fine.

This is one of those things that is as the saying goes "90% half mental". You know it isn't the greatest wax job ever but if everyone else is abiding by the NF rule then you're at least on equal footing. Plus it won't be warm/wet conditions where the advantage of fluoros really multiplies.

In case you don't receive these already, here's the Toko wax recommendation for Sunday:

"suck" is relative.

I can make you some FAST skis in relatively dry cold-ish weather with fluoros.

Regardless, I'm happy that Sunday won't be warm for you, because that would be very tough. Good luck out there!
