Cataract time? Glare of lights at night when driving (esp when raining) was my precipitant.

Yes cataract. Not so much the driving for me although I´ve never been very confident about driving in the dark.
I´ve had a very bad left eye for many years and was alarmed in October when I went to get new glasses and they sent me to the ophthalmologist.
According to the eye exam made before my first surgery I had only 20% vision on my left eye and 60% on the right. Left eye has been declared 100% after the surgery and I just have to wait for my checkup after three weeks to get OK for the right eye.

A "wish I had done this sooner" story? Reading O maps (and the like) must be much more satisfying!

Haven´t tried any O maps yet in the middle of "winter". I´ve gotten used to using a magnifier for mapreading and that has worked well enough for me for over twenty years.
