That's exactly what I think! I want at least one sport to be only for outdoor fun and fitness. I don't want to ruin it by racing - unless there are controls to find, of course. Then I will race on skis. :)

I had some of my best races at Mono Nordic, totally my type of trails, lots of transition skating.

Also: ski racing is hard!

I´ve only been "racing" on the Vasaloppet trails (30K and 45K several times but never the big one) and that´s not relly a race even if I try to get a good total time. Shorter races would be too hard.

My only ski race was going to be the Birkebeiner but I also did the Gatineau Loppet that year so I could start in an earlier wave in Norway. Now I'm retired. :)
