That does suck :( But it sounds like you get that seeing progress takes time and you just have to keep at it. Know that we’ve all gone through phases where it felt like we were moving backwards despite putting in work and can very much relate!

Do make sure that you take rest days when your body needs them. And I’d recommend trying not paying any attention to your pace on regular runs. You don’t want getting frustrated by the pace to take away from the fact that going for a run is contributing towards the bigger goal of building a training base, which you’re doing a great job at. I'm really impressed by how consistently you’ve been running lately and excited for when you get to see the improvement!

And if you're ever lacking motivation to get out for a run I'm a big fan of planning your route (w/https://www.plotaroute.com) so that you draw something b/c that makes it way more interesting.

I get how you're feeling, I just went through the same thing... I took 2 weeks of running maybe 2 or 3 times a week and then one week of complete rest, and now I'm feeling much better about training. I did take more time off than I intended, but rest is definitely important!

You're doing great though! I've been seriously admiring how much you've been running!

It happens. I know the feeling. I believe in you, you can get through this rut, and you'll be even stronger for it. Love you <3
