It is the same idea and you are definitely good enough to hold equally high standard whether it is light outside or dark.

I suppose so, I feel like I need to do more training at a higher speed in the dark though

when did you start doing night O again? i thought it was a good result. use these races to practice your pre race system
lots. You have a two minute head start to a former NorAm Champion and still beat him ;-)

Well hopefully you can run faster then an 8min/km pace ...it’s hard to compare splits in the dark as you run.

When you have a more useable headlamp it gets quite fun actually.
It wasn’t a terrible run today. I was satisfied with the first 10 controls, and then 11 through 17, I just felt like I wasn’t orienteering well at all, even if I avoided any major mistakes. Then a big mistake on the 2nd last control, ended the course with a sour taste in my mouth.
