Run well... this one wasn't even on my radar, not that I can afford to get away right now...
But some day, when you retire... :-)
We took a road trip before Zack's senior year in high school, when he was thinking he wanted to go to Marshall U in Huntington WV. Dreary little burg. Trying to get a sense of the place, we found that there was a park down by the river, but Zack advised that we shouldn't go there because that's where the drug deals go down. Not sure of the accuracy of that, but we were pretty glad when he decided not to go to school there.
WV has fancy State Parks (money from Coal?). The natural scenery is breathtaking where it has not been spoiled by mining. We traveled through it 25 years ago. More recently in Morgantown which is a nice town (University). Right now I am listening to "Mountain Stage" the music show from WV - "almost heaven" is how they advertise their state.
Morgantown is one of those places that's within spitting distance of Pennsylvania. From Huntington you can swim to Ohio. Don and Marit Davis live in Shepherdstown, which is literally on the Maryland border -- they live 2.2 km from the river. I've actually flown a hang glider in West Virginia, but I landed in Maryland (there was a field in West Virginia that look like a good place to land, but I was advised to stay away from it because it was private property protected by firearms and dogs -- no joke.
