Dontgetlost used to host an annual summer weekend called Navstock with most participants camping at Bass Lake. So there are quite a few maps around there, likely in need of some updates. Orienteering Ontario gets occasional requests from people wanting to start orienteering clubs in small towns around Ontario, and the biggest roadblock is the lack of real orienteering maps and the expense of making them. If there were a core group in Barrie, they would have a really good head start compared to most places. Ideally, they could operate as a satellite of Dontgetlost, which would save the trouble of becoming an official club (elected board, bank account, etc.)

Interesting about the maps. Yes, being a satellite would make sense logistically if there were a person game to take that on...
