My family attended a conference in summers regularly for a few years at FPU. The map agrees with my memory. Would this be for an urban sprint-O? or are you hoping to add some outlying areas? I don't know about them, onlyl the dorms and roads.

We used the map for a workshop this past weekend (Assoc for Experiential Education). It went really well. The map has no contours and has a lot of things wrong with it, as you'd expect for a not-field-checked map, but was usable for carefully selected control locations. We did a poison score-O with teams of 3.

I would like someone to walk me through getting and using LIDAR data in OCAD. Greg Ahlswede had a workshop on this but I was not able to attend because of an attendee limit; has that workshop been posted somewhere? Any other sources?

Hey Barb, contact me by email, I can assist with doing the Lidar thing. Are you using OCAD or OOM?

Woo, it's a thing! ;-) Very nice. Can't wait to hear how your workshop went.

You could probably get Jon to do LiDAR if you want an in-person lesson.

Thanks folks! I am using OCAD.

The workshop was great. Really great.

We have a new employee, Tanairi. January was somewhat lost to suddenly having to find a new worker, and we found two! Tanairi comes from Microsoft where she was doing outreach to schools, and she has some great leadership experience from college. She's very interested in social and environmental justice and gender issues. Jen has been managing a gymnastics studio. Neither of them have orienteering backgrounds, but they see the vision and will bring passion and competence to our organization.
