Was amazing to see you right up there on the leaderboard - well run! Sounds tough towards the end (heat is the worst!) but at least you got the full 100-miler experience ;)

I think this counts as "proper running". Sounds very hard. Well done!
How did they close the route during the heat? People just had to wait at the water point? Time keeps ticking I presume?

It definitely counts as "proper running". ;) They closed the course at CP13 (going into the Valley of Tears, which was the hottest section), similar to a dark zone in an AR race, so it didn't affect anyone that had already past through that section. I think they've said they're going to minus the time from the runners who had to wait it out at the CP to ensure that runners didn't miss the final cutoff and get a DNF.
