JanetT: it's only January. And not even mid-January yet. I'm sure you'll get another chance to use them (remember last year's minor-holidays snowstorms, as Glen puts it)!

cmorse: Got my Dion's two years ago (bought them 2nd hand from Ken Clark) and we didn't have a decent snowshoe snowfall for the rest of the season. Last year was a washout as well. This years snowshoe series was looking pretty good until the middle of the week. But at least the latest SnoNews is out.....

PBricker: Todays snowshoe race was "postponed". I'll hope for more snow; there's still a lot of winter left. (Strange: I used to spend the winter hoping for no snow, so I could run on bare trails).

cmorse: Yeah, I was thinking the ground felt pretty nice for trail running today - thawed and slightly springy, without the excess muddiness. Alas, working so I didn't get out. Might try an early AM run on the way into work tomorrow.....
