Beautiful shot of Touree, or Turee? Establishes that late winter New England melancholy I remember so well from my time in Western Massachusetts in the 1960's. I lived in a cabin looking out over Richmond Pond. It was much less developed then, and the small cottage was inaccessible in the winter...had to walk in about a mile when it snowed....talk about melancholy!

My internal clock suggests 85-88 for me, bar surprises. But perhaps vertebral osteo is already one. Mix it with corona and duck! :-).

Some nice photos of the pond on Google. Living on a pond or lake has appeal. I'd rather that than salt water. Western MA is indeed gorgeous. Rural beauty starts around the Pioneer Valley - going west is my thought. I would think that PB & PG are the most knowledgeable on the subject. I went to college in very NW Mass. From the Berkshires to Provincetown, the small state has a lot of variety. But a lot of traffic in eastern MA.

100 today for my dad. Alas, he missed it by 20.
