Not that I'm taking it up, but I'm kind of interested in what sports get stopped where.

Australian government is still aiming for a lockdown-light, but the states here are going to go a bit harder.

No official shut down yet. No competitions but casual golf ok with precautions. Not for long I suspect. ..

Our club shuts at 5pm tomorrow for at least 4 weeks :-(
Had to be done though.

After this evening's announcement golf only ok if I play with my family members. But only allowed out once a day so running or cycling will take preference anyway...

I have to admit to.being terrified of being told i could not go out to run on the moors. It's the only.thing that keeps me sane.
Does janet not play golf?

I'm relieved as well.
No one else in my family plays golf. I think it's academic though as the course will probably close.
Also do you think we're allowed to drive to the start of our one exercise session? I suspect it's got to start from home. Luckily we both live somewhere decent for training.

I think in the spirit of this we should be sticking to doing this one form of exercise from home (I am lucky too in this respect and I live down south!).

I guess it depends where the start is. If it's a quiet spot where no one else is, then maybe that's ok. A lot of the problem is that people have all had the same idea about where to go. Thankfully, i have ilkley moor and know all the off path terrain as well.

Plenty of people out in the Peaks this morning that obviously thought it ok to drive to the start of their exercise. ..
