Godspeed You! Black Emperor's reaction to winning the Polaris was one of my favourite things in Canadian recently, or whenever it was. Just exactly how everyone thought they'd react.

Have you been to their bar in Montreal?

I ALMOST performed there with the band! Logistics didn't work out unfortunately. Maybe some day...

I had a lot of fun writing a school essay on them recently. Talked about their Canadian-ness.

I've actually only seen a burlesque show there, but La Sala Rossa almost singlehandly restarted Labatt 50 as a popular beer. I remember an interview by a beer rep who had no idea why their sales were taking off in downtown Montreal.
