I saw this article today about Rich Fargo, who was the head of the class in the northeastern trail running community back when I was an enthusiastic participant, say 15 or 20 years ago. He was the perennial winner of some of the local races, like Soapstone, Nipmuck, and I'm sure many others.

He's still a pretty speedy guy, 5th overall at last year's Soapstone and 7th at Nipmuck...

No wonder he was so good back then, 20 miles a day to work and back!
