Super:
Are within reach for unofficial status this season If you want to, and you’ll be primed and ready when the geezer Olympics start up again next year.

I'm with Super here, totally within reach!

Is the Dundas Valley open, they've closed the Gatineau park and had police guarding against entry today.

Everything is shut. Hamiilton, Halton, Niagara and Grand River Conservation areas all closed. Most city parks too.

Even the rail trail, for those parts that go over HCA lands, is closed, though enforcement has been non-existent. So far. Oh, and the Bruce Trail has acknowledged that they can't keep people from using the trail though they are begging folks to stay off. Tough one. Not sure what the right answer is.

It seems like it would be easy to run trails and maintain social distance. Especially for people unafraid to go off trail for a few metres of required. Is there another consideration they’re citing?

When I run on the roads around here I encounter at least a dozen people. We all give each other space, it’s easy.

I think it is more the congregation that occurs at parking lots, sights (waterfalls, look outs, etc.) that raised the concern. But saying that even the BT walking traffic last week was SO crowded for those wanting to bag Sherman Falls & Tiffany Falls, we watched from our kitchen window very few family groups that would keep a distance from others. Wish a balance could be struck as the outdoors & nature is so therapeutic for so many!
