I've created a Virtual O Event at Maybury using the mobile app - Usynligo. A virtual O means, no flags, no streamers, print your own map, run at your own pandemic approved convenience and the app will tell you when you have located the center of the control.

It's a Norwegian application for use with iOS or Android, you can download from either app store. Don't worry, the app is in English. It's very easy to use, just need to make sure your Location Services is set to Always (at least while using). You can create a login, or run anonymously. I have tested it and seems to work well within a few meters.

I've also created a Livelox to go with the event. If you do not have a gps enabled watch, and just want to use Usynligo, you will have the ability to export your .gpx at the end of your run, which can then be imported to Livelox. Make sure to go into your profile settings and turn on the store trace toggle to enable this ability. I suppose you could try to run both Usynligo and Livelox apps at the same time, but I have not tested that.

For both platforms, just search Maybury Virtual O. You can print the map from the Usynligo app or their website www.usynligo.no

White thru Red courses are available. I tested the app via Orange, course was fine, off trail, is somewhat soft. I make no concessions for Green or Red, or map trail issues or updates. Be advised there is a new park HQ at the entrance, but it does not affect any courses.

Fellow SMOC-ers: I definitely recommend getting out there on these courses. Thanks again Steven for the great idea and making it available. For a busy place like Maybury on these courses that use a lot of trails given the virus situation I do recommend going during times where there are fewer people... maybe like early morning or something. Awesome course!
