Discussion: Groceries

Bash:
I picked up the grocery order this morning, minus 12 items they didn't have in stock. I won't be doing it again because after initially encouraging people to use their pickup service, they're now suggesting that we leave it for vulnerable people, which makes sense. The friendly employee explained that they're short-staffed because a number of grocery store workers are staying home because they're afraid. I can't blame them.

2019-2020 stay at home picture. i like it.

like in most media- depends from which angle one watch it- and what he/she want to see/hear

Bash:
Agreed. It depends on where people get their information and how - or if - people critically evaluate what they read/hear and who they're hearing it from.

I like reading scientific/statistical/medical information. Meanwhile, one of my old friends has become a conspiracy theorist in recent years. He's convinced that Covid-19 is linked to the implementation of 5G and is also a clever plot to get everyone in the world to acquiesce to martial law without putting up a fight. He calls the rest of us "sheeple".

Interesting times!

Your old friend is Yurets? ;-)

Ssshh. I don't think he's heard of me. No, I worked with this fellow at an IT company 30 years ago and we became good friends. But he clearly landed in a weird crowd after he moved to Australia. When he visits his parents in Canada, we always meet for a hike and I often have to change the subject. "Sorry, I don't want to discuss that. Let's talk about your kids." As opposed to how wonderful Trump is. Or how mass shootings involve actors.

Social media is interesting in that it makes it so much easier/quicker to identify these types of personalities.

Mr Wonderful:
Wife's extended network has some 5G nutters on it as well. Probably activates the stuff dropped on us by the contrails. Kinda wish I was on FB sometimes to ask them if 5G was also messing with the HHO devices they installed a while back that, despite significant violations of thermodynamic laws, were going to multiply their MPGs. That or either hype up even stupider stuff, or pit one inane conspiracy against the other.

I had to look up some of those things, Mr. W. My friend made a comment about contrails today but I didn't realize it was a thing. He has a habit of posting long videos explaining "the truth" to people who aren't sheeple - but I never click on them.

Aw man, I forgot to call them chemtrails. :( Someone even went to the trouble to pay real money to have billboards warning us about them (a while back on I-96 just west of Novi Road if BNM is reading)

C'mon Bash, do your research! (Where research is defined as watching uncredentialled people ramble on youtube)

Could you imagine how bad it would be for our health if our electricity smart meters reported back to base via 5G?

Oooh, apparently that's another thing. You are clearly well connected in that world!
