Not sure about your paddling, but your running and cycling will be fine. Lots of really focused bike workouts should be doing wonders for your power numbers?

I need a cycling race for post lockdown! Getting to a 3.6w/kg ftp. Luckily not picking up any weight in lockdown yet!

Interesting! Do you happen to know what Mr Rohan Dennis' w/kg ftp figure is?

Hmmm... Rohan's W/kg is probs not as high as some of the climbing specialists - it's W/(frontal surface area) that he's trying to maximise.

But based on this (chart at the bottom): https://www.cyclinganalytics.com/blog/2018/06/how-...

The 99th percentile for men is 5.6W/kg and the chart maxxes out at 6.4.

I've heard of some "doped" climbing performances approacing 7 W/kg, but these values obviously came down when the sport "cleaned up" ;)

Dennis was putting out some serious watts in the Ineos Alp du Zwift race. 5.18w/kg for 58min or 373w, he weighs 72kg! He won the race, go check it out on YouTube!
