My flu jab this year got really hot and hurt heaps. And tetanus always hurts.
Did you get a lollipop?

I felt off after this year's flu shot too! And a bit ripped off that I didn't get a lollipop, bit it was still a nice excuse to leave the house :)

I found the flu one better than the whooping cough one. That ached for ages.

Finally this year I succumbed to the lure of a freebie/the fact that it's now mandatory at work, and accepted a fluvax - then forgot all about it because it didn't really affect me. (But maybe that's just because it was the first time?)

Think it just affects people differently - I've never had any symptoms afterwards apart from feeling like I've been punched in the arm, and this year it was better in a day.

Nope, I didn't get a lollipop :(
This was the first time I've had any other symptoms after a jab, but I was feeling a bit off anyway. The whooping cough/tetanus one hurts the most!

Did Tobi get whooping cough one too? James did - but now as we're in Bendigo have to get his parents to get it too!

It is strongly suggested for extended family etc to get whooping cough vax.

Yes, I know my parents got it for the first grandson a few years ago.. My doctor said it needs to have been within the last 10 years.

Got my flu vacc today. Super exciting to get to leave the house and go somewhere! I spent a good 10mins deciding what to wear for my big trip out. Then enjoyed a 10min drive, coped with the small jab and was rewarded with 20 blissful minutes sitting outside in the sun and getting to socialise at distance with a few work mates I haven't seen in 5.5weeks of lockdown. Plus a lollypop from the nurse AND a choc Freddo from our H&S lady. I was very tempted to fake wooziness just so I could stay longer...but my sense of social responsibility wouldn't let me.

Still absolutely the best 30mins of my week!

You got a lollypop and a Freddo frog? Unfair! You'll want to go back again next year.
