| bishop22: | I happened to see a comment yesterday, on another web site, about estimated tax payments being due, and it struck a chord, and after doing some calculations (i.e. completing several tax returns), I realized that, for the first time ever, I had to make a payment.
It was not for me, it was for Nate. And it was due to my current pet peeves with Congress: expanding the "kiddie tax" beyond age 14, (and now all the way to age 24 for college students in 2008, even though (in NYS), I only have custody of the fund until the kid turns 21); and the annoying AMT, which seems to even tax capital gains north of 20% with all of the little deduction reductions they throw in along the way. |
