All those bears must be unsettling. I wouldn't want to walk adjacent to Luther. Time to have some bear spray at hand?
I wonder if Luther could be roped into doing some laurel wrangling? Maybe some strategic smears of honey on some of the more vigorous laurel stands?
Rhonda has been known to repeatedly chase a bear away from its prey.
Rhonda should be careful. Is it just me or does it seem that wildlife is less afraid of human contact these days. I have noticed this behavior during my morning walks with raccoons, deer, squirrels and crows. Maybe they all sense that we are becoming vulnerable. Leslie thinks I am full of it.
Well, Leslie is rarely wrong, but the bears seem more plentiful and bold than usual around here. A little caution around them seems warranted.
