At 1600 the 'app temp' was minus 1, having warmed up a little from minus 2 at midday

Eeeeeeek, it sure did feel freezing! What a classic Rat day
There was a slightly colder one in late May last year, which surprised me a bit. The coldest day of an average year in Ballarat is 6.0 and today was 6.1, so you were almost there.
That's not ok.
I realised a few weeks ago that no May NOL and no QB NZ trip means no winter for me this year!
You missed out on downpours for what would have been NZ QB, too (although the rain is desperately needed because the area from Auckland northwards has been in severe drought, not for the first time in recent years).
Maximum temperature is measured for the 24 hours from 9am to 9am, so the 7.2 it reached at 9am this morning (or close to it) will end up going into the book as yesterday's maximum.
Haha I was in a meeting today with some people in Brisbane and they were complaining that it was cold!
C'mon Bun, get it right, it was 21.8 at 3.30 this afternoon, Brass Monkey weather

In the Territory, a night below 20 is enough to get the
"BLOODY FREEZING" treatment.
oh it was pretty cold in Brisbane this morning though! Sorry krystal, I take back what i said :P
And haha I'm sure i've seen that before Blair - "frosty 19.7 degrees"!!
When it gets down towards 18 overnight in Darwin, a call goes out to donate blankets to the long-grassers!
Is it bad that I wore long tights and a long sleeve shirt on my 25 min run at 6.30 this morning? I never got too warm.. So I'm saying no. My theory is though that if I start cold and am wearing too little, I will run too fast trying to warm up... It was 10.9...but in my defence.. It felt colder
:O woah krystal I wear at least a thermal if it's 10 degrees! You're hardcore. I always overdress because then it's easier to get out the door haha
