I think the only place I've ever seen a fishing spider is near a stream (along the D&L rain trail near a canal lock/stream junction). I certainly wouldn't want to see one in my house!

Pretty daunting. Zack had the presence of mind to capture it safely and relocate it outside, but now that we know what it is, maybe it should have gone down by the pond.
