When I sit at my desk, I now don't even just use a foot raiser - I use a small stool and lift my legs up ont it so that they are straight out in front of me, under the table! I find that that makes a huge difference to my knee - the straight leg rather than the bent leg is probably the big factor, rather than the elevation. Definitely worth a try for you.

thanks Brad, will have a go. Got a new posher chair to try out now which seems to be making a difference. The other thing I'm looking at is a standing desk, but drowning a bit in all the different options - didn't think there'd be so many!

I know! I also have a standing desk but more for my back; basically it gives variety from the seated position but I can't stand at it all day. Standing in one place for ages is as bad as sitting in one place, for both my back and my knee - in fact, it is probably slightly worse for my knee than sitting with bent legs. The seated with knees straight out in front of me seems to help, though.

The best thing is to just keep moving and not sit or stand still for long at all! Shame about the having to work for a living ;-)

I've been using AthleanX youtube videos to troubleshoot niggles/injuries of late (ankle/back). Glass ankles Tedwards put me on to them. He may have some knee relevant stuff that helps. If not it's only 20mins wasted! Absolute beefcake but seems to know what he's talking about.
