I think you had to do it again because Eileen was only 3m down on your 1st attempt!!
I got a message from SAL to say my first attempt wasn't acceptable despite the fact I ran a proper hill. Made me even more determined to get a result!
p.s. I recently got a new Garmin (Forerunner 935) which gives very accurate readings for height gain - barometric based.
My Garmin 235 is useless on height (100m different to Strava yesterday).
I tried a short steep hill (about 40m) prior to the SAL one and got 0m climb.
Not great on distance either so don't take any of the virtual results to seriously.
Still put in a big effort on Saturday and could barely get down the stairs this morning.
