Interesting thought re knee issues. I twisted my ankle wearing Hokas a while back. But I still wear them to hike because I love how light they are and how they feel in general. Nice job on your retirement routine!!
I'm not really convinced the Hokas are the problem but the lower rise shoes do seem better as far as reducing stress on my patellar tendon (and avoiding ankle turns). I spent all day yesterday kneeling down refinishing my front deck so my knee was barking a little today. It's possible my problem is not tendonitis (arthritis? old age?) - tough to tell without seeing a dr.
