What form are these carbs taking? Solid/liquid/gel/non-neutonian fluid?
I've never really thought much about eating, just that I do it (maybe a bit too much) when training/racing which at the moment is up to ~6h so I can get away with the slapdash approach.
However as I think about going longer maybe I should think about it a bit more. Despite being a scientist the idea of getting too scientific about running/nutruition really doesn't float my boat.
A mix of gels, shot blocks, High5 powder and dates seems to be giving me no trouble. The occasional jam sandwich was leading to a little discomfort, but I should start mixing those in again (and some rice cakes) if I'm going to try and keep it up all day.
