And the story was very similar. We were in the middle of the woods. I stopped in my tracks when I heard the buzzing sound of the rattle. I don't think Hammer believed it could be possible, given our location, but we eventually saw the snake partially covered by leaves. Yikes. Glad you were paying attention!
Haha yeah wilderness traverse course testing many years ago. It wasn’t until we were close to it Bash that i could hear it so that’s why my response to Emma when i heard it was “Its close”

My “running” would be considered a jog for most people though and that might not be fast enough
