Who needs an organized event? Actually is much simpler to do on one's own. An e-bike would certainly help, but at that point you might as well just drive up.

Have some friends training to do 5 gaps in a one day ride -- about 140 miles and a gazillion feet of climb. I won't be on board for that one!

Having mentioned it on your log, I'd say you're committed.

It looks like the top mile of Lincoln Gap is a bit harder than the B17. Not to mention some climbing to get to the start of that mile. Quite the challenge for the dark blue bike.

I meant to go try last year, and the year before, but it never happened. Maybe not this year, since there's no point in going if I haven't managed something hard enough around here first, like Kingsley Hill. And that's a big ask.

But these days I've got nothing to look forward too, so need to dream up something.

Presumably not this Lincoln Gap (not sure what the average gradient of that one is, but 1% is probably a reasonable guess).
