I checked out your route. If you ever come back this way I have a few tips. The Lemolo Shore Drive to Fjord Drive just before Poulsbo is a very scenic nice parallel to the highway. I think you mentioned in your log that you missed the turn, but Big Valley Rd is also one of the nicest stretches to road bike in N. Kitsap. After you crossed the hood canal bridge the route along the water to Port Ludlow and on up to Port Hadlock is also nice. It adds a few miles but is worth it. Looks like a fun ride though.

Fort Warden would be a nice venue, but a long trip for most people to get to.

Nice, thanks for the tips! Yeah I meant to take Big Valley but didn't look at the map closely. I generally opted for the highways because I was mostly going for efficient distance/time.

In theory we could do alternate years at Worden and Ebey; they are probably about the same travel time from the Seattle area (i.e. one ferry ride). And Worden might even be a bit shorter coming from the south end because you can avoid the ferry.
