But orienteering is still permitted in groups of 20?
Orienteering is being deemed a 'Recreation' over here, not a 'Sport' so we have to adhere to 10
We had a discussion with the then Dept of Sport and Rec many years ago about funding for orienteering and rogaining. At the time they were considering classifying rogaining as recreation with a different funding structure but orienteering was still considered a sport. I don't know what ended up happening out of all that.
Hmm...10 is still better than 2 I guess.
(Meanwhile it turns out that our gathering limits are now up to 1000 since June 29th - sorry!)
You can host the 2020 Aus Champs.
10 is very manageable. We take entries in groups of 20 per 1 hr session. And we ask you to wait in your car if once you arrive, there are already 10 people getting ready. We normally get the 20 people out on their course within 30 mins
Unless it's feeding time...
