I'm assuming that is the blue mountain in your state, correct?
Yes. I'm going to call you next weekend to chat about the Harriman extravaganza. I've been looking forward to this for over a month. I'm a tad worried about snakes. Only garter?? snakes up here. Really looking forward to having a good catch up.
Been reading about your litter problem. Sounds like the UK. It's the only thing my kids complain about when we go home. They get genuinely upset about it. It's got much worse since the Lockdown.
I haven't announced this to the RMOC email list yet b/c I'm waiting for the final OK from Neal (course setter), and he was waiting on some kind of map updates from Doug: there are three advanced loops streamer-ed at our Lake George map (near the Blue Mountain courses). http://www.rmoc.org/index.php?option=com_content&a...
Nice! Hit me up about Harriman. I am busy 8-4pm my time so preferably outside of that or check prior via text.
Ok I will Jordan.
Brooke, I ran Loop 1 this evening. Really enjoyed it. (It's on RMOC website). I think two streamers were missing. Very good though. Fast!!! Like Medicine Bow.
Lake George Loop 2 & Loop 3 are also posted now. If you remember which streamers are missing, email Neal (email@example.com) or let me know and I'll pass it along.
And -- are we talking about the same place? The Lake George map looks so steep and un-Laramie-like! :-P (I've only orienteered there once I think, at least 10 years ago...) I think I'll start with the Blue Mountain loops, when I finally make it out there.
Oh, I think you were talking about Blue Mountain after all. Neal has set an additional three loops not far from there, on our Lake George Map. So you can hit SIX courses while you're in the area. :-)
I told him about the controls. I'll have a look at Lake George. Florrisant didn't look very Orienteering friendly. Lots of signs to stay on footpath. Jordan's map of '97 champs was a blue with 715m climb and almost 23km long. Insane.
