I'm putting two-and-two together with your comments and the RMOC "member news" photos I sent out yesterday. I was surprised to see all the mud in those photos, but I assumed it must be more accepted in that area. Front Range people go ape-sh*t (online) when runners & bikers use muddy trails, much less have a full-blown race on muddy trails!

I'd have thought the same, but they did it anyway. I think individual runners have little impact on a trail. A full blown race is different. Nobody seems to care in Yorkshire or Germany when it's wet to bike. (Probably because you'd never get to bike as it's always wet!). But Houston was very protective of its trails. To be honest, trails here seem to recover quickly. Undergrowth starts to reclaim them. But litter.......grrrrrr. I hate litter. Every summer I come off the moors in Yorkshire with bags full after runs.

Brooke do I need to renew our family membership? Will you send out reminders?

I do usually send out reminders -- but I don't think there's any point to having or renewing a membership right now while we're not having any real events. (I refunded the 2-3 membership payments I've received since March...) I suggest you wait and renew when things are more back to normal. :-)
