That's fantastic! Although we'll miss having you in CA. Congratulations!
Congrats! I'm glad it's finally official!
Thanks! We’ll definitely miss all of our friends in CA.
Ian, it will be great to be closer to you! Time to start thinking about adventures in the Adirondacks!
Something to put on your radar, just in case group activities are ever allowed to happen again:

Ooo!!! Thanks! I will DEFINITELY check that out. I am absolutely on the lookout for group(s) to play with :-).
Do you happen to know if they need (or would mind) another flute/piccolo player? (I mean I'll email them regardless, but it would be great if I am not the 200th flute player to email them this year...)
It's not highly selective. It's mostly just who wants to join, though there's some wording that allows for making sure a prospect is competent and that sections don't get too out of balance.
The bigger challenge is when we'll actually be able to start up again, and who will feel safe enough to show up when we do. There's definitely not room to space 6' apart in our normal rehearsal space. At this point all rehearsals are off until at least 2021.
OK, cool. Thanks! I'll email and see if another flute/piccolo player can be absorbed into the section in January (or whenever rehearsals start back up) then :-).
Both of the groups I play with in the Bay Area are not rehearsing this fall either. I'm guessing large groups of people getting together in an enclosed space to breath a lot (and empty spit valves and things like that) will be one of the later things to restart. Fingers crossed that we will be close to a vaccine by the time I get to Ithaca in January and starting rehearsals back up won't seem like such an insane proposition!
