The market up there is crazy. People are retiring earlier than expected or buying a recreational property because they can’t travel for a while. Snowbirds who usually rent out their place to skiers for the winter aren’t sure they’ll be going away so there aren’t many seasonal rentals available. This wasn’t great for us, given that we’re moving up, but it should help with selling THABC.
24 hours after listing, there are 7 showings booked. Four today, two tomorrow and one Saturday. We've only received feedback on one showing. The potential buyers liked it best of the 4 places they visited today but it was their first time out, and they're not quite ready to buy yet.
I'm not taking offers until Monday because I didn't want to spend the weekend tied to my phone. So condo shoppers have a bit of time to think about it.
I highly endorse taking the weekend off.
As it turns out, we lost an offer yesterday. The buyer made an offer on their 2nd choice place because they didn't want to wait until Monday. But I knew that was a risk.
