Discussion: I've always wondered if that route is possible...

But had no idea where to go from Emu Plains to the north or how to get through up to Yellow Rock. Is public access along the fire trails obvious?

Riverside drive is straightforward enough (if a bit dull, and lots of private property signs surrounding it) but the main trails up to the ridgelines are typically nicer singletrack (some a bit vague in places) plus there's many more MTB tracks coming down off the tops. I think there is meant to be a route directly down from Yellow Rock to the river but will have to go back and try that another time.
