Around midday yesterday, 70% of South Australia's total electricity was being supplied by rooftop solar (and 94% by solar overall if you include large-scale solar farms). Demand for grid electricity at that point was the lowest on record (not sure how far these records go back).
OMG, I saw an enormous solar farm going up out the back of Narrinyeri:

Ooooh, Wish you were here just gave me massive Fernweh for Falls Creek (circa 2010) - it was on our playlist the summer I was up there!
I'd take Falls or SA Champs as options right now (although I'm not sure I remember how to orienteer...)
Sometimes just the whiff of a laundry detergent which we must have used when travelling gives me Fernweh for Scandinavian summers (but not necessarily their laundromats).
Well done. I saw your courses on Route Gadget and it looked fun. It was a great location and surely would have attracted a few of us from interstate in a normal year.
There are lots of keen orienteers here but we are still unable to travel more than 5km from home.
Thanks - I originally set that M45 course for you & Blair & maybe Jymbo...then I tailored it to Kym & Greg & Ben C, but Kym metaphorically shot himself in the foot!
With luck maybe next year I'll be able to also compete in the SA vs Vic Challenge, though technically I may still be a Nomad.
That’s an impressive fact Blair!
For Blair - Simon told me that for several hours over the past sunny days the bidding price for power has been negative here. Current forecast spot price for SA is about $15/Mw, and tomorrow morning is $8.
On the orienteering side - was a great day - thanks Jenny for the courses, Adrian for the updated map
So Robin, is there something like a Tapas market for power?
