Discussion: I have run there, but agree with your assessment as an O venue

I am getting tired of spending (wasting?) time checking out areas that should never have even been mentioned as possibilities. I think a dose of reality is needed.

"parking situation ... only room for about 60 cars"

Had to laugh at this; I suppose it illustrates that there's an orders-of-magnitude difference between DVOA and UNO. We had not quite 40 for the last meet I organized; guessing they came in maybe 20 cars.

Steve the problem with the 60 car capacity is that the park gets very heavy use from other users (day hikers, etc.). On a nice weekend, they will fill up the lot leaving little to no excess capacity for a O event. A 60 car lot would be on the small side for a DVOA event with all courses even if 100% of the spaces were allocated to orienteers.
