Sounds intriguing. Across the wet area at base of hillslope?
Is this a bigger project than the Thalweg efforts a decade or so ago?
yes! technically Riis land, so we will go light on design. :)
thalweg efforts by you and AG! a decade or so ago at the hottage creek were epic! funny times! what a hoot that was! how many people have a echohydrologist friend with a super fit daughter on speed dial to save the day!
I remember telling Trav when he phoned me.
"Oh shut up....you had me at thalweg!"
By the way my dept is hiring an asst prof in fluvial geomorphology with a specialty in stream and river restoration. I'm hopeful the individual will be interested in working some "daylighting" of buried Hamilton creeks in addition to the restoration of the mouth of the Ancaster/coldwater creek that MAC has highlighted as a priority
Sounds like a job for Dr. Aaron Tamminga out of Vancouver.
And BTW. the island that got created in that thalweg storm is still very much there and loaded with well established plant life.
Yeah it would be great if Aaron applies.
