Yes, really cool. I had never heard of monkey saddles, or considered the possibility. Did Stan give you your Erdos number, or was it one of the other co-authors?
I hope you'll make this available to the orienteering community in some way, or at least to me. (You had a cryptic comment on my log about saddles, but didn't follow up). My university doesn't give me access to current issues of Math Horizons.
Stan is the 2, via James Earl Baumgartner. I believe he also had the honor of meeting the man himself once.
I'm supposed to have received an email that allows me to distribute links to the article, but it didn't show up. I'll track that down.
