You two have had more than enough hospital time lately - no more falling down stairs!!

It was pretty scary, but she seemed not to be too distressed. Next day there was some bruising and tenderness, but she was getting around ok. This morning we were headed out for a walk and she had a little cough that precipitated a really painful back spasm. So now she is taking it a bit easy, taking a muscle relaxer, maybe a day or two away from her usual level of activity.

Which stairs? The ones down from the second floor?

Nope, to the basement. It wasn’t even clear why she was going that way. She had fallen asleep watching tv and I woke her to send her upstairs and corralled the cat to lock him up downstairs. Next thing I know she is bump, bump, bumping down the stairs, probably not fully awake. And it hurt, but she hadn’t hit her head, didn’t feel like she had broken anything, and went up to bed. Sore the next day, but seemingly recovering. But the morning after that a little cough or something precipitated the spasm.
