...reminds me of APOC in January 1988.
I have been going through some of my maps and also stumbled over the results where I noticed you won H17 at both APOC and the post-event at Pittwater Dunes. My results were decent but not great but at least we won the H35 Relay.

It was a very nice area to run then - there had been a fire, I think, 2-3 years earlier which had cleared out much of the fallen timber and undergrowth, and a lot of the scrub in the marshes (which are remarkably yellow on the 1988 map compared with more recent conditions). It's still a good area but now quite physically tough.

To give an indication of how much regrowth had slowed the area, I was 40 sec/km slower in 1992 (at age 20) than in 1988 (at age 16).
