If you were an asymptomatic carrier, you'd be filling the air with your virus. Someone coming in after you could thus contract it. Aerosolized particles can apparently stay airborne for a long time. At school, we have to wear masks in our offices even if we're alone, to protect others who might have meetings there. Low risk, but still a risk. So yeah, keep wearing your mask.
You’re missing part of the rules. If you’re using free weights or mats you need a mask. If you’re using a bike or treadmill you don’t. All in the same room. So aerosols would still be floating around. Go figure. I suggested they change the pulleys on the HVAC fans to increase air changeover and spew the virus outside.
Ugh I would not go into that gym. But my risk tolerance is low with this stuff.
Definitely spew the stuff outside.
Wait, if you were alone in the room, who upbraided you about not wearing a mask? ;-)
I wondered as much, but sometimes one’s own conscience is the sternest critic.
Well, one of the instructors walked in and asked why I wasn't wearing one.
