I just carry 1 spare tube. Fallback position is ring up the wife ;-)
But yes I remember bottling it after one puncture once.
I have got an uber to collect me and my bike before (went too off road on road bike)
valid, one puncture often leads to another, either because you didn't get all the glass/etc out, or a pinch flat from underinflating with a minipump.
i take 1 tube and a tiny patch repair kit as a backup. and a good small mini pump... may take longer (who cares if riding by yourself) but generates no waste. Only difficulty is having the patience/muscle to get the new tire up to sufficient pressure.
Yep, I used to always carry two tubes, a kit and a pump, but these days I seem to always be a bit time constrained.
May go to a mini pump on the frame.
Have ubered once.
I've had two punctures on a long ride once but it was one in front and one in the rear and in separate incidents early on in the ride. Kept going though for about another 80km+. Pretty sure I've done the double rear on another ride more recently but the second was definitely debris I collected.
I always carry a mini pump and two tubes (for the above reason). CO2 canisters are a bit hit and miss for me.
Ringing the wife isn't an option. Would take her four days plus at this stage 2 x 2 week quarantines to get here. I probably would have walked home by then.
I was on an MTB trip in a group of 4 where we used every spare tube that we had (about 7 between us). For the one guy who got no flats it was a pretty tedious experience.
I was in an AR team like that once. I don't recall if I had tubeless back then but I definitely had slime and the others didn't. At least I got to nap while they spent time fixing their flats but we didn't have a great team dynamic and they quite often just left without bothering to wake me (I was the navigator).
Are you sure you were on their team ?
There's no i in team :)
I went for the walk home and drop wheel off at bike shop technique yesterday...
Yep I saw that - too close to home to bother with the tube ?
Are you sure you were on their team ?
Well it was one of those 'We need someone who can navigate' type hookups so I only met them a couple of days before the race. We didn't really suit each other - they didn't think ARs would go off road/trail and were rather upset when we did.
